Vikas is the Director and Principal Solicitor of Wickham Lawyers and is recognised as one of Australia’s prominent migration lawyers.
He is a Solicitor of the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Queensland.
As a lawyer, he has significant experience across a wide range of Australian laws and has acted in complex disputes and transactions for a range of clients in Queensland and in other states.
Being an immigrant himself, Vikas is aware of the difficulties that can be involved in the Australia immigration process. Vikas has a wealth of knowledge and experience to scrutinise your case from every conceivable perspective.
He regularly represents clients in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and the Federal Court of Australia.
Vikas has around nine years legal experience, and prior to that he was a Registered Migration Agent working for his own firm.
Vikas has been nominated as a finalist for the Lawyers Weekly – ‘Migration Partner of the Year’ awards in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
In addition to his immigration law experience, he assists clients in other legal matters including commercial, franchising, recovering bad debts, leasing and property.
He is also known to provide mentoring to other immigration lawyers and registered migrations agents and regularly holds information sessions to assist his peers.
Steven has recently joined Wickham Lawyers as a junior member of the Brisbane team. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Business with Distinction, Graduate Certificate of Forensic Psychology through Curtin University and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at Leo Cussen Centre for Law. Steven was admitted to the profession in the Supreme Court of Queensland at Brisbane in November 2023.
